Posting Replays to YouTube

Most battles in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U can be saved as replays by pressing the Y Button on the results screen. Saved replays can be shared with other players from within the game, and can now also be posted on YouTube and the Replay Viewing Community on Miiverse.

Uploading your favourite replays to YouTube is handy, as it means they can be watched on any device compatible with YouTube. Also, replays saved in-game can't be watched after certain game updates, but you can watch replays uploaded to YouTube even after the game has been updated.
Please note that replays longer than three minutes cannot be uploaded to YouTube.

How to Upload to YouTube

To upload a replay to YouTube, you'll need a Google Account and a YouTube channel for that Google Account.

Select Sign In
The Google Account login screen will open in the internet browser. Enter your Google Account login details, and then select "Sign in".

If you do not have a Google Account, please create one by selecting "Create an account".

Once you've logged in, a request to upload to YouTube should be displayed. If there are no issues, you can proceed with the process.
After a short wait, the login should complete and you'll be directed to Account Settings.
If you don't have a YouTube channel yet, you can create one at this stage.

Once you have created a YouTube channel, you're ready to upload videos.

Tap OK at the bottom of the screen to start the upload.

You'll need an existing email address and a mobile phone to create and verify your Google Account and its associated YouTube channel. You must be aged 13 or older to create a Google Account.

How to Post to Miiverse

Videos uploaded to YouTube can also be posted to Miiverse.
